About the Role
During a typical day as a System Support Specialist at ALT Consulting, you'll be working on the front line of our technical operations team, helping clients resolve workstation, software, and network issues that interrupt their day-to-day work. You'll respond to support tickets, troubleshoot problems, and make sure clients stay productive.
You'll work closely with senior team members on larger deployments and infrastructure projects, building your technical skills in a real-world, client-facing environment. Our clients depend on your reliability and attention to detail to keep their offices running.

Workstation and Office Setup
You will be well equipped to handle your role with your own advanced technology setup. When working from the office, you'll be in your own private workspace, which includes an immersive 40-inch 4K monitor, a MacBook Pro, quality peripherals, and an ergonomic desk and chair.
Responsibilities
- Provide front-line technical support to clients via phone, email, and on-site visits
- Troubleshoot and resolve workstation, software, peripheral, and network connectivity issues
- Set up and configure new workstations, laptops, and mobile devices
- Assist with onboarding new employees at client sites
- Log and document support tickets, resolutions, and client interactions
- Escalate complex or unresolved issues to senior team members with clear documentation
- Assist with hardware and software inventory management
- Support Microsoft 365 users with account, email, and application issues
- Participate in infrastructure projects alongside senior technical staff
About You
- 1+ years of experience in technical support, helpdesk, or a related role
- Familiarity with Windows and macOS troubleshooting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users
- Reliable and punctual with strong time management skills
- Eager to learn and grow in the IT field
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
Considered an Asset
- Experience with Microsoft 365 and related applications
- CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification
- Experience in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment
- Familiarity with ticketing systems such as ConnectWise or Autotask
- Valid driver's license
- Bilingual in English and French
